Undergraduate scholarships for international students 2013 in America
The AU Emerging Leader Scholarship world is for high-achieving students who wish to pursue international Bachelor United States and who are dedicated to positive social and civic change. It is intended for students who will be returning home to improve under-funded and under-served in his / her country of origin.

Scholarships are available to international students of secondary schools of any country. U.S. citizens, permanent residents or U.S. citizens dual U.S. and another country are not eligible.
Preference will be given to students who have overcome various obstacles and challenges, as well as those of various backgrounds and under-represented global and socio-economic.
Value of scholarships / inclusions:
The scholarship provides tuition, fees, room and board. It is renewable for a total of four years of undergraduate studies, based on the sustained performance of satisfactory academic standing.
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be high school students (not students) applying as first-year (freshman) students at the American University in August 2013 semester. Candidates should be any other country other than the United States and must need a visa to study in the United States (preference will be for those who need an F-1 or J-1 student visa).
To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must have:
• A minimum 3.8 GPA equivalent (or in the top 10 percent of completers) from 9th to 12th grades
• A demonstrated commitment to service and promote the needs of people in their country of origin
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written in English with a minimum TOEFL iBT 90 (no sub-score below 20) or IELTS 6.5 (no sub-score below 6.0)
• demonstrates leadership, volunteerism and community service
This scholarship is very competitive. You must have a minimum 3.8 GPA and at least 90 equivalent TOEFL or 6.5 IELTS score of English language proficiency in order to qualify for this award. Only apply if you meet these criteria.
To be eligible for admission in August 2013, students must submit an application for scholarship EGL, the common application and supplement AU forms and all supporting documents by 15 January 2013.
