2013 2014 MAX PLANCK PHD SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology offers scholarships for doctoral-PMPG IMPRS (International Max Planck Research School “Primary Metabolism and Plant Growth”) program of plant genomics and systems biology. Program is offered to Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology and the University of Potsdam in Germany. PhD Program is open to students from all countries. Scholarships begin in summer / fall 2013.-line applications must be sent by January 30, 2013.The program language is English.

Eligibility FOR THE 2013 2014 MAX PLANCK PHD SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:-Highly motivated students who can tackle scientific problems in modern plant biology.
-To be accepted as a PhD student, you must hold a Master degree or equivalent in a discipline such as biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, computer science, mathematics, or in related fields.
-The program IMPRS-PMPG PhD is open to students from all countries.

Scholarship Description: The International Max Planck Research School “Primary Metabolism and Plant Growth” (IMPRS-PMPG) is a doctoral program in plant genomics and systems biology at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology and University of Potsdam. Talented graduate students are accepted into the program at regular intervals.

Duration of the scholarship (s): PMPG IMPRS-doctoral fellowships are awarded for 3 years.
What is the coverage? The scholarships cover living expenses and includes a scholarship to attend conferences, laboratory visits, etc. For students living expenses, they have about 1,100 euros per month. Bench fees and supplies are covered by the host laboratory. In exceptional cases, a Bursary bench and consumables will be granted. A decision will be made on a case by case basis. There are no tuition fees for doctoral programs, except for half the cost charged by the University for registration.
Notification: First list: The first list will be created in the first half of February. They will contact the referees students in mid-February if they are on this list.
Invitations for interviews: Decisions about which the Institute invited for an interview will be conducted in the first half of March. Invitations will be sent by mid-March.
Workshop Interview: The interviews will take place the week of April 8th, 2013.
