Scholarship Description
The University of Amsterdam (UVA) aims to attract the best students from around the world to its international classrooms. Outstanding students from outside the European Economic Area can apply for a scholarship of Amsterdam.

Eligibility FOR THE 2013 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR AFRICAN STUDENTS IN AMSTERDAM
Outstanding students from outside the European Economic Area (holders of non-EEA nationality) can apply for a grant of Merit Amsterdam (AMS). Candidates must be officially accepted into a program of full-time studies at UVA. The candidate must not receive a scholarship covering another organization for the same period of the study and the AMS scholarship must be able to comply with Dutch visa regulations.

Selection criteria:
AMS scholarship program is highly selective. The best qualified candidates will be selected for a scholarship by the school or graduate faculty offering the program. Candidates will be selected on the basis of academic merit, such as average form of a letter of recommendation and motivation.

120 scholarships will be awarded

Duration of sponsorship
Selected students receive a scholarship for the official duration of the program they are enrolled in. The scholarship programs for a year and a half or two years will be renewed if the student is making satisfactory progress toward graduation.

Benefits scholarships
Value and purpose of grant: € 6,000 – € 21,000

    Technically, i will like to enrol the scholarship you offered for Africans. I am a Nigerian with 22 years old. Currently, i graduated from Informatics Academics in my country with Diploma in Computer Science.
