Masters and PhD targeted areas are architecture, health, civil society, planning and construction, culture, rural development, economic development, humanitarian aid, education, music.
About 2013- 2014 Aga Khan Foundation Scholarship for Developing countries
The Aga Khan Foundation provides a limited number of scholarships each year for postgraduate studies to outstanding students from developing countries who have no other means of financing their studies. Scholarships are awarded on a 50% grant: 50% loan basis through a competitive process once a year in June or July.
The Foundation gives priority to requests for Master’s level courses but is also willing to consider applications for PhD programs, when doctoral degrees are necessary to achieve the career goals of the student. Applications will also be considered for travel grants for doctoral studies and conduct their research in Third World countries on topics deemed of interest to the Aga Khan Development Network. Applications for short-term courses are not considered, nor the demands of students who have already started their program of study.
