2013 Undergraduate Scholarship for Developing countries
This scholarship is offered to international applicants for BU undergraduate (Bachelor) degrees beginning in September 2013. You will be eligible for a scholarship undergraduate international BU if you can demonstrate an outstanding academic profile relevant to your course. Academic profile is one that is considered equivalent to Grade 3 at “A” Level UK NARIC assessed.
Who is eligible for this award?
All applicants classified as ‘overseas’ for fee purposes are eligible.
For courses that do not apply this scholarship?
Candidates every three or four years full-time undergraduate (bachelor) courses in the following schools may apply:
- School of Applied Sciences
- Business School
- School of Design, Engineering & Computing
- School of Health & Social Care *
- The School of Media
- School of Tourism.
* Eligible courses: BSc (Hons) Nutrition, Exercise Science BSc (Hons), BA (Hons) in Social Work BA (Hons) Sociology and Social Policy.
How many scholarships are awarded each year?
School of Applied Sciences – 5 scholarships
Business School – 5 scholarships
School of Design, Engineering and Computing – 10 scholarships
School of Health & Social – 5 scholarships
The School of Media – 1 every 3 candidates
School of Tourism – 10 scholarships.
What is the value of 2013 Undergraduate Scholarship for Developing countries?
School of Applied Sciences – £ 1,000 per annum
Business School – £ 1,000 per annum
School of Design, Engineering & Computing – £ 1,000 per annum
School of Health & Social – £ 3,000 per annum
The School of Media – £ 1,000 per annum
Tourism School – £ 2,000 per annum
Students must obtain an academic profile of 60% or more over the years continue to be awarded the scholarship beyond the first year.
Scholarships exclude training and repetition.
How this scholarship paid?
Scholarships are paid by a reduction in tuition fees.
What are the criteria for this scholarship?
You must be able to demonstrate an exceptional academic profile (equivalent to Grade 3 in the UK ‘A’ Level assessed by NARIC)
You must be able to demonstrate outstanding personal profile as evidenced in your personal statement.
You must perform a year of 60% over one year mark to qualify to continue receiving this scholarship.
Other information about this scholarship
Recipients of this scholarship can not be in receipt of another scholarship BU
Applicants for courses offered in colleges BU partners (other than in the BU campus based) are not eligible for this award
Candidates for a year Top-up courses are not eligible for this award
Financial need will be considered.
