I am a 100 level deaf and dumb university student from Nigeria (A developing african country) but i am not a student of Gallaudet University, though. That scholarship is exactly the problem. It does not really make any sense! The truth is that the developing countries are ‘poor’ countries with slow or underdevelopment and there are many deaf school-leavers with intelligence and potential whose their parents are financially poor and even not able to secure admission into any college in their countries. To be precise, please refer the dictionary to find what developing countries mean. Besides, Is there any way you can do to assist such poor deaf students with scholarship to study at Gallaudet University? I believe this institution is the only best option for any deaf students to have sound education but you can’t just limit it for Gallaudet students only. They need a chance to study at Gallaudet University.
