This training program is created specifically for physicians who intend to pursue a career full time in the field of international medicine. Have the skills and experience provided by the International Fellowship of Medicine INMED, graduates will be prepared to design, launch and conduct of health interventions in low-income communities.
2013 Fellowship positions for Doctors GRANT OPENINGS
Only a limited number of positions INMED International Fellowship of Medicine are available at any given time.
Scholarships current openings include:
Baptist Medical Center in Ghana. INMED accepting applications for a position with a flexible start date. Preference will be given to candidates with surgical skills. Financial support is provided, including a base salary, travel expenses and insurance.
2013 Fellowship positions for Doctors QUALIFICATIONS
Application is open to physicians who, at the time of commencement of trading are recognized graduates of schools of medicine or osteopathy who have completed a residency program accredited training.
OBJECTIVES OF SKILLS
At the end of the International INMED graduates of medicine in the context of a low-income community will be able to:
Advocate for literacy, economic development, and effective interventions to promote health and prevent death and disability
Prevent, diagnose and treat major diseases of poverty
Ensure that healthcare interventions are culturally appropriate
Designing effective health interventions in the context of a management team
Demonstrate technical competence relevant clinical skills
SCHOLARSHIP educational components
International Medicine and Public Health Intensive hybrid
This course combines active-learning sessions with classroom skills to facilitate the full implementation of basic skills in this area.
International service learning medicine
Fellows achieve complete a minimum of twelve months of supervised learning affected their international site INMED medical training.
International presentations Medicine
Fellows will participate at least monthly educational activities at their site INMED International Medicine training to improve the skills of staff to the training site. The supervisor will advise the fellow in the choice of themes and content of these educational activities.
International medical research project
While on the site, the Fellows will participate in a research project relevant to the specific context and needs of the installation. INMED help Fellows with appropriate support in this pursuit. Fellows must have at least one original, peer-reviewed article about their research project to be submitted for publication.
Evaluation of Fellows learning objectives will be based on:
International Medicine and Public Health Evaluation Intensive hybrid
This comprehensive examination is administered at the end of the Intensive Course.
International Faculty Evaluation
Supervising faculty on site INMED international medical education present written performance appraisals stock carefully above objectives learning.
At the end of their service experience Fellows will learn guidelines for creating a test regarding the ideas they have developed in international health issues.
2013 Fellowship positions for Doctors Evaluation of research
Ongoing feedback will be provided to fellows, so they spend their investigations and publication process.
Physicians who meet the above requirements are invited to submit an application to the International Marketplace INMED medicine. INMED please contact with any questions about this.
Candidates who pass the above criteria will be recognized as stock INMED Medicine International. Verification of the educational experience will be provided to the institution affiliated to any degree. Graduates are entitled to include the initial FIM (Fellow in international medicine) after their name, and will be recognized at the annual conference of exploring medical missions.
