Applications are welcome from Home / EU and international candidates. Applicants must have an appropriate level of first class 2:1 or above. They must also have a good master in accounting, finance or a related discipline, level of merit (60%) or more. Preference will be given to candidates who have received ESRC accredited training at Master’s level. If English is not their mother tongue, a language test certificate is required with the following minimum requirements for this scholarship: IELTS 7.0. Personal qualities should include the ability to work independently and a high degree of motivation necessary to complete a doctorate in three years.

PHD scholarships 2013 for Africans Description: The Business School hosts a community research large and diverse graduate with currently over 155 students enrolled in its doctoral programs. Its nominal capacity is excellent research with 94 percent of its research classified as being of international quality (RAE 2008). As part of its ongoing development of postgraduate research, the School of Business offers a number of scholarships fully funded to start in September 2013. They are eager to attract students with a strong independent research experience and knowledge of research methods, techniques and approaches to master level. As for all PhD students at the School of business, continuing education opportunities are available depending on training needs assessment at the beginning of their studies?
Duration of scholarship: All fees paid for three years, plus an annual grant of Research Council maintenance equivalent of three years
What is the coverage? In 2012/13 it was £ 13,590 per year grant 2013/14 will be announced later in the year.
