2013 Rolex Awards for International Students
The Rolex Awards support the pioneering work undertaken in five areas: applied technology, cultural heritage, the environment, exploration and discovery and science and health. Projects are evaluated on their originality, potential impact, feasibility, and especially on entrepreneurship own candidates.
The value of the 2013 Rolex Awards for International Students rewards
Each winner will receive 50,000 Swiss francs over a period of two years.
In addition, Rolex assures recipients have access to a network of more than 100 winners of the past, as well as the benefit of the international publicity through media coverage and the Rolex Awards website.
Young people aged between 18 and 30 years are eligible.
Candidates must be persons of all nationalities and backgrounds united by a talent for independent thought and the ability to embrace projects that require creativity and determination in the face of considerable obstacles.
Candidates must have a refreshing approach to problem solving.
How to Apply for the 2013 Rolex Awards for International Students
Applicants are invited to submit proposals that address the most pressing problems of the world in five areas: science and health, applied technology, exploration and discovery, the environment and cultural heritage.
Projects are judged on their feasibility, originality, potential for a lasting impact, and especially on the minds of candidates to the company. Projects are rigorously examined to select those that best meet the criteria and an independent jury selects five winners from a list.
Deadline: No deadline, so early application is advised.
They are presented every two years. The winners will receive their awards at a special ceremony in the presence of distinguished guests.
