The Mandela Rhodes Scholarships to help build leadership excellence in Africa.
A Mandela Rhodes Scholarship is a scholarship, if the costs of researchers are generously covered during their study period.
The Mandela Rhodes Foundation offers young Africans who have academic achievements and leadership potential plus a unique learning opportunity on the continent. While pursuing their graduate degree choices, each Scholar has access to leadership development programs, rooted in the principles underlying the Foundation.
In addition to the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of peers who span the disciplines and academic continent, they are part of a vast network of young Africans of excellence that are expected to play leadership roles in their fields and companies the years following their time “in residence.”
Students of all African countries are eligible for the award. However, students must enroll in a South African higher education. These are:
Open to citizens of all African countries.
For postgraduate studies in a South African university or tertiary institution (Honours and Master only).
Anyone between 19 and 30 years.
