2013 Scholarships for Young African Researchers

Scholarships for short stay young Africans: Program Scholarship Coimbra Group of young African researchers aims to enable researchers to undertake research for a period of short-term research (usually 1 to 3 months) in which they are engaged in their home institution, at a selected Coimbra Group universities, and to help establish academic and research contacts.

2013 Scholarships for Young African Researchers Eligibility Criteria: Scholarship Application

The program is intended for young academics (normally those under 45 years).

Applicants must be current members of staff of a university or equivalent institution of higher education, and in most cases, should be of postdoctoral status or equivalent.

2013 Scholarships for Young African Researchers Application Procedure

Applicants must complete the application form online and / or paper form and return it with the required documents to the Coimbra Group Office before March 15 of each year.

Please be sure to include the following documents:

Curriculum Vitae with photo ID
Copies of academic qualifications
Explanatory report of the work program to be followed in the University beneficiary (maximum 1000 words)
Two reference letters (in sealed envelopes) from persons familiar with the candidate’s work (please indicate their names, occupation and address)
Document attesting to the affiliation of the applicant to his / her university.
