2016 Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition for Young Writers and Students from Commonwealth Countries

Each year, the Commonwealth Essay Competition, run by the Royal Commonwealth Society since 1883, inspires thousands of young writers from all over the world. The competition is open to citizens and residents of ALL Commonwealth countries and territories. The theme for 2016 is ‘An Inclusive Commonwealth’, which is also the 2016 Commonwealth Year theme, and a topical theme for today’s youth. The competition is divided into both the junior and senior categories with specific requirements.
