2016/17 Fondazione Edu Scholarship for African Undergraduate Students


The University of Ghana is inviting applications for 2016-2017 Fondazione Edu Scholarship for the 2016/17 academic year. African students are eligible to apply for this scholarship program.

The University of Ghana provides modern educational and research environments that will enable students and researchers to face current challenges and to focus on knowledge as a principle driving force for development.

Scholarship is available for pursuing an undergraduate degree. Scholarship focus is on the disciplines of technical-scientific and agronomic. Science students are encouraged to apply.

The Fondazione Edu Scholarship will cover tuition, books, as well as room and board, and will be awarded for four years as long as excellent academic standards of at least a B average of 3.00 CGPA continue to be met and need is demonstrated.

The UG-SFAO eligibility requirements include the following:

  • Applicants must be a Level 100 student.
  • Applicants must have obtained an aggregate of 14 or better at the WASSCE
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate limited family income and/or insufficient funds to cover most or all educational related expenses.Applicants mustHave the will to succeed (determination, perseverance and success in other pursuits).
  • Continuing science student with CGPA 3.75 and above (very limited slots).
